CHRISTmas Time!!!

Hello everybody,

I am sorry I haven't posted in a while. Its been two months. Not much has happened and hence why I don't post. I'm been busy with church things as my Pastor's assistant. I preach obviously when he's not around. I'm starting to do missionary prayer letter updates on Wednesday. I directed the CHRISTmas play this year. That was fun. It was called "One day too late".

It was based on the story of Scrooge. We called Him Mr. Sceva. We had a past employee, present employee, and future employee visit him. A boy was being told the story by the future employee. It ended with the young boy deciding if he needed to get saved. Mr. Sceva didn't get saved and so thats why the young boy was being challenged at the end to make a decision before its too late.

So that was this past Sunday night. I preached tonight a CHRISTmas message. It was about God's gift to us. A gift given by love, a gift that satisfies, a gift to take our sin away, a gift that cannot be bought by ourselves, a gift given by grace, and a gift that keeps on giving.

I enjoyed preaching it. Tomorrow is our Christmas Eve service. It starts at 11 pm. I'm looking forward to that. This is my first time home for CHRISTmas in 3 years. The last 3 were spent in California, at the college dorm, and then last year with my wife's family.

Work has been the same. Just putting together orders, delivering to restaurants, and other things like that. I've gone on a couple trips to Tuk and Aklavik delivering money to the store managers there. I went by plane.

I do some of the driving for deliveries. I drive a big cube van. Its fun. I'm looking forward to having next week off. The store is usually quiet and there is hardly any work for the work I do. So I asked off. And my boss said sure.

Tomorrow I'm working from 8am to 12 pm or earlier. The store closes at 1 pm. Its closed Friday and Saturday. Then it is closed next Friday but I'm off so it doesn't really effect me...haha.

I still need to wrap one of Sandy's gifts. I bought her a tv guardian, another I can't speak about right now, and a something else....I spoke of the some of the gifts cause Sandy knows about them but not all so I can't say because she'll be reading my post later on.

So far, I already know a few gifts that I'm getting. I found out by accident and I chose one of mine.

Anyways, I'll try to keep you posted...

Shane Gordon.

Pea Butter

Hello my fellow students,

Just wanted to post about a wonderful discovery I made at Stanton's, where I work, a few weeks ago. It is called pea butter. The peas are golden brown color. That is what it says on the ingredients. It looks like peanut butter. It tastes somewhat like peanut butter but not as salty. That is what Sandy says.

When I first tried it my mind said, "peanut butter!!! spit it out!" But it has no nuts. It is also gluten free. So I've been using it on almost everything. I had my first "PB&J" sandwich a couple days ago. I also dip it with a fruit called applepear. Its in the shape of an apple and both the taste of apple and pears together. It is quite the snack.

I also use the pea butter on pancakes with jam. So its been really good to eat this stuff. So I now have an idea of what peanut butter tastes like. Again, the pea butter is not as strong as peanut butter. Sandy is satisfied with it and so am I.

Julia if you're reading, just let us know if you want a jar. We can mail it to you or you can go to www.peabutter.com I read the ingredients and it also has no eggs. You would be very satisfied and more satisfied than that soy butter...yuck!!!

Preaching

Hello my readers,

Its been busy for me. Yet again, I found time to post. I've been studying the fear of the LORD. That is what my message tomorrow morning will be about. I've been doing a verse by verse study of Proverbs and I've been on Proverbs 1:7 for a while thinking and praying about it.

There is so much in that verse alone. The word fear in this verse means reverence and that means an act of respect. In my terms, I'm terrified of bees and when I come across a bee, I don't want to do anything to upset that bee or else it'll sting me. In short, I respect the bee so I don't upset it.

That is how we fear the LORD. We show Him respect in what we do before Him. Respect in prayer, singing, our behavior, worship, etc. We need to fear Him in all areas of our life. We fear(an act of respect) Him so we don't upset Him. He chastens us if we don't respect Him. The bee stings us if we don't respect it.

Anyways, I've been filling the pulpit for the last few weeks. My Pastor went to a preachers' conference in Quebec and he also went home to visit his mom and also to visit his wife's dad. So I've been busy preparing messages.

Sandy is doing a lesson for Sunday School tomorrow morning. She is also going to a ministry called the arctic tern. Its a young offenders facility. A young g i r l s offenders facility to make it more exact in the afternoon. That should be good for her.

Well, back to studying for me.

My Truck

Hey y'all!!!

Well, I'm in the process right now of getting a 2009 GMC Sierra 4 door extended cab truck...that was a mouthful. Its black. Its practically brand new but it was on sale for $27,500. My dad will be going to pick it up for me. Its in Edmonton where Sandy and I had our honeymoon.

He is leaving Friday. I would go and get it myself but I was out a week of work being sick and can't really afford to be gone for another week. I would leave Friday myself too but it is a 3 day drive from Edmonton to here. So I'm going to work and my dad is going to pick it up for me. I'm saving probably $300 to $500 if my dad picks it up for me. I could have shipped it from Edmonton to Whitehorse but that would have cost $1,500 to ship.

My dad's plane ticket cost me $741 and I'm giving him $500 for gas. So around $1,200 and cheaper to ship it.

Well, not much else news...I've been sick for a week and now I'm back to work today. I missed it cause my job is fun.

Well, I should go.

Shane Gordon

One Month

Hello peoples!!!

Well, I am at my parents house doing laundry and checking email and stuff. Just in case you didn't notice, its been a month since Sandy and I got married. Time has flown by. Its like we've waited so long to get married and now its exactly one month from our wedding day.

We've gotten a lot done since then. We have gotten the ball rolling on her permanent residency. Just a bit of advice for people who want to travel up here: Don't travel through Toronto. Its a waste of time and they won't help you or you won't go through customs quickly. I'd travel from Philly to Minneapolis, the Twin Cities and then fly to Edmonton, Alberta Canada from there.

Well, not much else to say.

Shane Gordon.

More on the DvD Yearbook

Hello People,

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy as a married man. We had an excellent time on our honeymoon. We went to the world's largest or 2nd largest mall in the world. We went on a helicopter ride around the city of Edmonton. Went to the world's largest indoor amusement park. Its called Galaxy land and its inside the mall.

We bought a few things from the mall. We went to Wal-Mart to buy our house supplies. We bought Sandy just about everything she needed to run her kitchen and other things for her. Then we bought my stuff at Best Buy. I don't have to say any more about my stuff.

We went to a zoo. We saw some interesting animals. We saw a red panda. That was probably the coolest animal there. We saw an Elephant...that was stink. We saw a few different types of monkeys. They were cool.

That was pretty much it. We only had about 3 days there. We were there 4 nights. It was fun. I think we spent the right amount of time there. That was probably a good amount of time there. I'm sure there is other things I never heard about in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. There is a dinosaur exhibit. Dr. Hitchens told me about that place. But that was many years ago when he went.

Well, about the dvd now. Sandy's uncle is going to finish making the dvd's. Our dude who was doing it got stressed about making so many. It took a lot of his time and his wife was getting mad at him for spending so much time on it. Don't worry, we payed him his due. So they are still in the process of finishing. Brenda Simmers will probably bring the remaining dvds to school. So spread the word people!!!

Anyways, gotta go.

Shane Gordon.

Yearbook DVD

Hello all!

Well, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been busy. I am now in the United States of America and 2 weeks away from being married to the most beautiful girl in the entire universe!!!!! Anyways, this is supposed to be about the yearbook dvd's.

I did finish the editing. I started the process of putting it on a dvd. There will be 3 menu pages. First menu page is of the students. Next, the faculty, and finally some pictures. I saw a couple options of the menu page options. I liked one and didn't like the other...so after this I think I might try to call the guy doing the dvd's for us. Just so I can finalize some things about the dvd.

They did work in a regular dvd. So all is good. All together the videos are about one hour and 24 minutes long. He is making 20 copies. I believe we will be giving them out at the wedding to everyone who was involved and listed. So I hope you all enjoy it when you get it....CAUSE IT WAS A LOT OF WORK!!!!!!

Getting a little overwhelmed

Hello my people,

Yeah, I was supposed to start the video yearbook at the beginning of this month and have it done by now...that was my plan. So, I've only got the intro done and daily routine...so please pray that I'll find time. I'm working two jobs and moving at the same time. I need to start packing up my room. So, I guess I have to stay up late and work on it. That is probably the only way I'll get it done. I have less than 3 weeks to get this thing done. I want it done before I leave for the States so I can give it to this guy who can put it on a dvd for us. I still need a list of people who need it. HELLO!!!

And what is the deal on music people? If you have contacted the music companies about the songs I wanted...did they contact you back? I would like to know. It would help me out a lot. I don't and can't use music we don't have permission to use. Music to me is a big factor. I think its boring personally to look at pics and vids without music. Just think how would your favorite movie be without music? Not that exciting. The movie actually would be boring. So it goes the same for this video yearbook.

I thank those who did contact the music companies and got back to me.

Shane Gordon.

Holy Cow!!!

Hello my humble servants!

I found time to post. I got off work a little earlier tonight. My night job that is. Normally I work until ten but I got off at 9:30 because I finished all my work that needed to be done. So when I got home, I played with my dog CauseMoe...just like it sounds or Cosmo. But my parents spelled it CauseMoe. Moe would be short for my Dad's name, not my middle name. I guess he got the name by asking my Mom a question and my Mom would respond "cause moe". Thats my guess.

Anyways, I was just on Sandy's blog and I saw something that got me....REALLY EXCITED!!! We are only 1 month, 1 week, and 6 days away from our wedding! That is not much time. We need to get a lot done and I need to finish the yearbook. I finished the second part...um...Daily Routine I believe it is. I like it.

Anyways, I have some concerns. There are still music that needs approved and I'm sorta running out of music really fast. There are a lot more pictures and videos to go through and well, I need music in the background. It makes it better and not so boring. So, you know who are and you know others who don't update their blog and don't check their email. Please help me out so I can have something decent when I finish or have completed? Thank-you.

Anyways, I don't have much time here in Inuvik as well. I'm leaving in about 3 and a half weeks. So that is why I am asking for more music. Speaking of music, I need the Senior Recital music. Is there anyway someone can send it to me...the ones that I chose. I asked Ruth about her song and she said she would work out the copyright and give me permission to use it.

Since I'm leaving in 3 and a half weeks I also need to have the yearbook completed. So please help me out as much as you can.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Video Yearbook Finally In The Works!!!

Hello everybody,

Sorry that I haven't posted like I should. I've been in the process of preparing to move out. All the boxes that I have sent home were piled high in my room and I had to hop skip and jump to get into bed and out of bed. So I found time to transfer those boxes to the trailer Sandy and I will be living in after we're married.

Tonight Sandy is a little sick and so I sent her to bed so she wouldn't get worse. Anyways, everybody, if anyone checks this blog, everybody is probably wondering whats up with the video yearbook.

Well, I just did some work tonight. I got the intro done. Its about a minute of random pictures and then an opening video of Dr. Hitchens. So the intro is about 6 minutes long. So I'm just in the process of trying to print out the outline so I can keep it before me and have something to follow. I love the intro! Couldn't of worked out better.

Not sure when I'll be done this video. Needs to be done before I leave. So I got the rest of this month and the first part of July. Then, I need to figure out how to burn it to a dvd. Then I need to copy those dvds.

I am going to compile a list of people who were involved. So, if any of you are reading this that were involved, put your name down and anyone you can think of who can't check my blog!!!

Thanks for your time,

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Working...again

Hello my followers,

I've been working since Thursday...well...I worked Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday(today). I talked to Rino, my boss in August, yesterday and I will be working for him during nights. That won't start until next week or so. I hope its soon because I'm only here for a short time.

I need to work as much as I could before July 13th. I will work as the Carpenter's helper Monday through Friday and I will work nights at Stanton's Distributing Monday through Friday and on Saturday I will during the day for Stanton's.

Not much else has been happening. Can you believe we've been graduated for a week and 5 days. Almost two weeks. Its over. I read the plan the church laid out for me to take the church as Pastor. So as of right now, I'm an assistant TO the pastor. In a year or two, year at least and two at most, I will become assistant Pastor. Then Associate in the same timeline, and then Pastor.

Well, I will go.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Home...again

Hey everybody!!!

I've been home for about two days now and well...its like one big blur. College is over and done with, now, its work and save money until I get back to the States to marry my sweetheart Sandy. I am really looking forward to being her husband. I am certainly blessed by God to have such a wonderful girl to be my bride and have her come all the way up here to live with me. Usually, its the other way around these days. The husband goes to where the wife's family is.

Anyways, I started work today. I am once again a carpenter's helper. They gave me a dollar raise. I praise the Lord for that. I won't be able to start my second job until next week I think...I hope. I'll probably get a dollar raise there too. I'm hoping I'll get a dollar raise. The second job is Stanton's distributing. Its a grocery store and a warehouse and a food distributor to other communities around Inuvik.

Actually, they just opened a store in Aklavik. So they have a store in Inuvik, Tuk, and Aklavik. So one thing I'm hoping to get is a full time job there after Sandy and I get married. So pray for that if you will. Thanks everybody.

What else is new?....My room is full of boxes. I have hardly any room to move around. I have to step over things and around things to get to my bed. I'm probably going to move my boxes into my dad's huge gigantic trailer outside until next week. Next week I start moving my belongings to the trailer Sandy and I will be living in. My pastor needs to move some things of his son's out of the trailer before I can start moving my stuff in.

I won't be living there until Sandy and I get back into town from our wedding. So, for now, its just storing my things there. I also have some of Sandy's belongings here in my room. So I'm running out of space. She has already sent a couple more boxes in the past few days. So I'm going to run out of a lot of space quick if I don't get a move on. I have 2 more boxes of my own still coming.

Well, thats all for now.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Last Week

Hello all,

Well, I'm in the last week. This week you would call the beginning of the end. I have one last final and that is tomorrow. That should go well. It is a lot of lasts this week. I had my last Sunday service here, last junior church, last nursing home, last ministry slip, etc. But the end cannot come sooner.

My parents made it. It was good to see them.

I have nothing else to say. I just want to be done.

The Countdown has commenced...

Howdy you all (y'all),

Well, it is another adventure to another one hundred more posts Lord willing. Who knows what it will be like when I'm giving you my 200th post. It shall be interesting but that is way up ahead in time and a little too far ahead to be thinking about.

But I am looking forward to graduation and its coming fast. Precisely a week and 3 days. The countdown has begun! May the 14th will be the beginning of the end of my college career. These past 4 years have been a growing experience in my life. A lot of lessons learned in good and bad ways but they were learned.

In other news...my parents will be arriving this Sunday. It will be good to see them since I have not seen them since August of 08. Skip Wilson is getting excited to take my Dad to Cabela's. My Mom will be going along for the ride too I assume. I think it will be May the 12th when they go. Skip said that is probably the best day to go. May the 12th will be my last day of finals.

My finals begin this Wednesday. I have one Wednesday, one Thursday, and a week tomorrow will be my last one. I've been looking forward to being done for quite some time now. I'm glad I stuck it out and will be finishing a four year degree in Pastoral Studies. The Lord is good and patient.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Happy 100th!!!

Hello All,

100 posts ago I did my first post. Carazy if you think about it. Not sure what to do to celebrate this achieving moment. I guess I can just go with my day as a normal day. I'm just waiting to be done with school, dorm, and mailing boxes home.

Mailing boxes home have been expensive. I've spent a lot of money to send just a few boxes home. I actually need to get going on a lot more boxes to mail home. I have two big boxes left to pack and I basically got only two weeks left. Well, two weeks of regular classes and then a week of finals but finals actually start next Thursday.

Time is flying and I have a lot of books to mail yet. Its going to be expensive these last two boxes. I'm going to see if I can get out somewhere to find smaller boxes and mail a bunch of those instead of mailing big huge boxes. But I need to mail as much books as I can first in these two big boxes before smaller boxes come into play.

We're making the necessary plans for a reception after the graduation ceremony. A lot of us wanted a reception and so the students who are graduating are doing some leg work to get it. Its always nice to have a little something something after a ceremony like a college graduation and people are traveling from afar (like my parents and my pastor).

So that is in order and as for news...The recital is this Friday on May 1st starting at 7:00pm. I'm playing Amazing Grace. It is a very nice arrangement. I just got it memorized last night. There are a few chords I get wrong but no one will know the difference except for Mrs. Dow and thats only if I mess up. I'll be nervous and so that'll be why I mess up. But for the most part, I have it memorized and I'm ready to play it live and ready to do it to the best of my ability. I just like to give Mrs. Dow a hard time about it.

For those of you playing in the recital this Friday...don't sweat it.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Wayne Gretzky

Hello my fellow blogsters,

If you think this post is about Wayne Gretzky you're partially right. This blog won't be about him entirely but somewhat about him. I'm calling this post Wayne Gretzky because his number is 99 and if you haven't figured it out yet, this post is my 99th post.

It was about 10 years ago, April 15th, 1999, Wayne Gretzky played his last game in Canada. He was one of Hockey's legends. When you hear someone say NHL you should automatically think Wayne Gretzky. He was the reason I played hockey and watched hockey. I can't stand to watch hockey now.

Anyways, that was just a taste of Wayne Gretzky. Now, spring break is over and we are on our final lap towards Graduation!!! I have no projects left to do. All I have to do is read one book and that is for the class Bible Customs and Manners.

I had a blast on spring break. A lot of late nights and early uprisings. So rest was out of the question. We had wedding planning and family outings. I played bejeweled on the computer while the ladies did the invitations. I was supposed to help but Mr. Simmers needed me to go out with him to get some food.

I was able to fulfill one of my ambitions in life. I went to Sight and Sound. It is a music theatre that is run by "Christians". They do numerous of shows like Ruth, In The Beginning, Behold the Lamb, and I think next year they'll be doing Joseph. That should be a good one. I watched Behold The Lamb.

They did an amazing job. Of course, what they portrayed Christ as a man with long hair and other details I wouldn't agree with as a Christian. For the most part they did an excellent job in displaying the miracles of Christ. My favorite was the walking on water.

I bought a dvd of another show they did. It was called "The Redemption of Ruth". We started to watch it but started to get tired and couldn't finish it. Should be interesting to watch some time in the future. I would like to watch In The Beginning if I could.

Well, I best be going.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Spring Break

Hello all,

So here I am on Spring Break. It started Friday and its Monday already. So far it hasn't been a break. It has been non-stop ever since we got to Sandy's home. So Friday we got here and ate lunch and played kickball and started to watch Newsies and then never finished it and then did a bonfire and then we watched Pinocchio (70th anniversary).

We went Grocery shopping with Sandy in the morning. Then ran errands with Sandy, Liz Simmers, and Mrs. Simmers. Then I went paintballing with Sandy's brother Tim. There was only 5 of us but we still had fun. Tim and I were on a team together against his brother in law John and one of his friends named Brandon. Tim and I got lit up a lot. Tim had a pump gun. So we decided that one game we were going to shoot them regardless of how many times we got hit. They needed to be put in their place.

So then John's brother Sam started to play and we killed them again. Then Tim, Sam, and I played elimination because John and Brandon ran out of c02. Sam and I were on a team against Tim and Tim won that round. Then it was me against Tim and Sam. I won that round. It was a lot of fun.

Then I went to Sonic's with Tim after paintball because I only ate breakfast that day and it was 5 o clock when we finished paintball. We were super hungry. Then after that we came back here and then we went to Berkshire Mall. Sandy bought her shoes that she'll be wearing with her wedding dress. She says they match her dress perfectly.

Sunday was church. We went on the bus in the morning, we went to Sandy's grandparents for lunch on Resurrection Sunday. Then we played games there and then we went to Pastor Sweitzers church Sunday night. Then we came home and hung out and ate gluten free pizza. Then we watched Batman (1989).

Today we slept in. I forgot my skin medicine at the dorm and I thought I could survive without it for a week but dog and cat hair murder my skin. So we left about 2:00 for the dorm to get my medicine. An hour and a half drive both ways. It worked out for the good because Sandy forgot the address book for our wedding guest list in the girls dorm and so she got that and some other stuff.

So here I am preparing for tomorrow. I think we're going somewhere. Not sure where though. Well, I typed enough...until next time.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Starburst Jelly-Beans

My fellow Americans and Canadians,

I am here to announce that we are only days away from Spring Break. I know, we're excited. Monday is almost through and Friday will be here before we know it. It is an exciting time. I sometimes wonder "where has the time gone?". I've been a freshmen, sophmore, Junior, and now am a senior and soon to be graduate of a four-year degree. GOD is good isn't He? GOD is good all the time and all the time GOD is good. He's good to see us this far. Don't quit cause God hasn't.

My title is starburst Jelly-Beans. They come out once a year and it is for Easter time. They are the most wonderful things. Its sorta a good dessert after lunch. I like to combine lemon and strawberry. I also like to combine orange and cherry. The weird thing is this: It says it is original fruit but yet it has grape and apple in the original fruit. The original fruit chews of starburst does not have grape and apple for their original fruit. That sorta bugs me. Thats ok I guess. I still eat them.

You know what is really annoying? Wait...let me answer. Stickers on fruit. Aren't they annoying? Why in the world do we need stickers on fruit? Anyways, that is just one little thing that annoys me.

I encourage all of you to read Psalm 115. It is an excellent Psalm. I got curious when I read the verse on the cake of the Senior recital. It talks about idols and when I read about those idols, I couldn't help but to think that our God is alive.

(1) They have eyes but they don't see--Our God watches over us.
(2) They have mouths but they don't speak--Our God gave us His Word
(3) They have noses but they don't smell--Our God smells the sweet savor of sacrifices (Ephesians 5:2)
(4) They have hands but they don't handle anything--Our God shapes and forms us like the potter.
(5) They have feet but they don't walk--Our God walks with us wherever we go.
(6) They were made by hands of men and worshipped by men--Our God made us to worship Him.
(7) They are not alive and those that made them are like them--Our God is alive and we are made alive through Him.

Our God is good all the time and all the time our God is good.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

What to do...?

Heyo my fellow bloggers, readers, and fans!

Its just another normal week start off again. I have piano lessons every Monday and well, my piano teacher tells me I'm the only one who doesn't have my recital piece memorized. I tell her I like to have it memorized the week of but thats me teasing her. I like to bug her, keep her on her toes because all the other students don't challenge her. I challenge her to make her a better teacher. You see, she's tougher on me because I challenge her. She docks my grade for things she doesnt dock other students that she should be docking grades for. I'm going to tell her that next week.

Well, there is this week and next week for school and then its SPRING BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then after spring break is 2 weeks of regular classes and then a week of finals. Then its graduation after finals are done. Amazing!!! My fourth year of college done!!! And you know what? I don't know everything yet!!! I'm always going to be learning.

If you ever come to the place of you're not learning anymore, ask God to search your heart and teach you to learn again. You'll never learn everything but learn as much as you can. It would be easy to say I've done 4 years of Bible College and talk about how I made it but these four years have taught me how much I do need to learn still. Its not what I know, its what I need learn.

For His purpose,

Shane Gordon.

Round 10

Hello carazy peoples!!

It seems like this is one long boxing fight. 16 rounds of it. Which is 16 weeks of it. We are in week 10!!! When you hit half way in the spring, it just seems like one big blur. It doesn't even seem to have a middle, it just moves from the beginning of the semester to the end of the semester.

Well, Bible Conference is over but that does not mean that we shouldn't forget the messages preached. Certainly a lot of good challenges. There were some messages that seemed that wouldn't apply to me. For example, the last two messages were for married people. Does that mean I couldn't learn anything? No. According to the Bible, I must receive instruction and hear counsel that I might be wise in my latter end (my paraphrase from Proverbs).

One thing I strongly dislike is when someone in a service decides to read their Bible rather than listening to someone preach because they don't think the message applies to them. Well, according to my paraphrase from Proverbs, it was for them. The Bible also says, A wise man will hear and will increase learning. It doesn't matter if you think (our problem today) the message doesn't apply to you, its for your benefit in the end. It may not be for today but it is for the future.

There is nothing wrong with thinking but that is what gets us into trouble a lot of times. When we think too much and read into something too much, we're not helping ourselves. We're hurting ourselves. Adam and Eve thought too much and tried to cover their sin with fig leaves but that only made it worse. Cain thought too much and brought a sacrifice that what he thought was acceptable but was rejected.

When you think next time that a message won't help you, think again and listen to the message because it will help you be wise in your latter end.

Here I Am

Hey there carazy peoples!!

So its Bible Conference week. As of news...NOTHING!!!! Just chillaxing and coasting through this semester. Its enjoyable and I'm just looking forward to this week of preaching. It was a good challenge from the Word of God this morning from Mikey. He preached on Psalm 119:18. Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law. Certainly a message right before BIBLE Conference that is needed. So take to heart what Mikey said people.

Anyways, I'm gonna go. I need to start studying for my message April 1st. I'm looking forward to studying the passage I'll be preaching from. Its amazing how God leads you and has control over everything. I'm preaching April 1st and the Lord has put on my heart to do a verse by verse study of Proverbs 1. So read Proverbs 1 before you come to chapel that day!!!

Alright,

Half Time

Hello my fellow human beings!!! Lend me your ears!! Not literally.

Well, we are at half-way point of the semester. 8 weeks to go people!! We are 50% done. Those of you in your4th year!!! Just think back to when we started. Time is too short to be around such admirable and honorable students. I like less than half of you as I should like and I like more than half of you than you deserve. Just kidding.

Anyways, we're in half time now. Its time to get ourselves motivated again to finish strong. Just remember that the last half always goes by quicker than the first. I remember looking back to the end of my first year. I went to grad thinking about my grad. There are people who are no longer here who I thought I would be graduating with. They've either graduated or were told to move on. A lot has happened in the last four years.

Well, I'm trying to learn what is up with my body. I'm either gluten intolerant or lactose intolerant now. This past Saturday I ate pizza without the wheat and I threw that up. Not because of wheat but because of dairy possibly. I took lactose intolerant pills today before I ate pizza (gluten free) and well, I feel fine.

I threw up this morning after eating a bowl of cereal. I ate grapes and trix cereal, and a cup of grape juice. I've been on the gluten free diet for almost 2 weeks now. I'll be eating gluten again Wednesday morning. I will also still be taking lactose intolerant pills just in case. I was having the symptoms to what dairy does to the body. I just hope its not both gluten and dairy. ahhh!!!

Well, I should go.

Gluten!!!

Hey everybody!!

Well, I might be gluten intolerant. That means I can't eat wheat. I am on a gluten free diet as of right now for probably two weeks. Then after that, I will eat something that has gluten and we will see if I able to eat it or not. Spaghetti makes me feel the worse after I eat it. So I think I will stay away from that one for now.

Sandy says the older you get the more sensitive you become to gluten if you are allergic to it. I am allergic to wheat. So I don't know. That means I am going to give up a lot of foods I love. Like oreos, Chicken Quassadilla from Taco Bell, and other good foods.

If I do end up not eating gluten the rest of my life than it works out for the better. Sandy is gluten intolerant. I've eaten things that are gluten free that she has made and they were good. So it won't be so bad. I've actually enjoyed meals that are gluten free. That hardest one would eating a sandwich without bread.

Anyways, pray for that if you will.

Sickly

Well,

Here am I getting over a sickness. Started Sunday Night. The sickness been going through the whole church. I can't stand it. I'm glad I'm feeling better though but still not a hundred percent. I'll hope I'll be closer to feeling better 100% by tomorrow.

Anyways, last week was interesting. Dr. Forney was here teaching and it went really well. I learned a lot. It was interesting to hear stories of when he was younger on the mission field. It was good to see him and Mrs. Forney as well.

Well, I best be going.

How about a magic trick?

Hey everybody,

Sorry, no magic trick. I just thought it was an interesting title. I decided I needed to write today on my blog. So here we are coming near the end of the third week already. We are almost half way of half way. Basically, that is a quarter of the semester gone!! That is 25% people!!! Mind boggling.

Anyways, Sandy and I have gone on one date so far. We're also going out again Friday night. Then the following Saturday we are going out on Valentines Day. Should be interesting. It will be fun. Then a week after that we are going to Tim and Rebakah's wedding. So we're busy the next few weekends.

School is going good as usual. I finally started my violin lessons. Its going to be challenging but I'm enjoyed the lesson. It was fun. The teacher was going through a couple of pages with me explaining different terms and stuff and so I had my violin in hand and well wanted to play. So I would play as she talked and she would quickly stop me and say not yet. I did this a couple of times as she talked about the two pages she was to go over with me. She's fun to bug because she doesn't really get mad. But I'm looking forward to being able to play the violin somewhat.

Well, lets make some magic!!!

made you look! haha.

Lets wind the clocks back a year

A year ago I started doing this blog site. Anna Greer introduced me to this blogger. I started playing around with it and I liked it a lot. I said to myself that this was perfect for people who want to keep updated with my life while in college. So far I've made about almost 90 posts. That is a lot of stories in a year.

Speaking of college. I'm enjoying it very much. I'm supposed to be preparing for a violin lesson right now but it snowed pretty good yesterday and its raining now and the the snow is now ice. So the church academy has been canceled and hence, why I don't have a violin lesson now.

I'm looking forward to my violin lessons. Its going to be cool to know, somewhat, how to play the violin. I'm slowly getting better at the piano. My piano teacher is now getting to play out of a hymnal. I'll be learning the song, "Jesus Saves". I'm excited. This will probably help me to play other songs as well in the hymnal. I'm looking forward to the piano lessons this semester.

Well, I've done enough damage at this Popsicle stand. I'll see ya.

One more shabang!!!

Hello my fellow people of the world!!!

I am now back at the college. It is my last semester. It has been quite the journey. Many friends made, memories, and meeting the for me. Of course there are ups and downs but that is part of the life we live here on earth. Its not always going to be comfy and relaxing. Your patience and what you believe will be tried. So you might as well buck up.

Anyways, I'm taking 13 credits. I am taking piano and violin. So I am practicing two instruments this semester. I am taking a class called Cross cultural evangelism with Dr. Forney. That will be only a 5 day class. I am taking another class like that called Church administration. That will be taught by Pastor Sweitzer.

I am also taking Hebrews and Bible Custom Manners with Dr. Hitchens (former Mr. President of the college) and I have one class with Dr. Straughan. That class is called Creation verses Evolution. That should be a good class.

Anyways, I have one class Tuesday, one class Wednesday, and one class Thursday. I'm hoping to have Piano and Violin Monday. So we will see.

GRADUATION IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shane Gordon.

My first post in the New Year

Howdy folks!!

This is officially my new post in the new year...its only the 13th day into it. I guess thats ok. I just never have time to post. I'm usually with Sandy most of the time and today we're going to the Farm Show and well Sandy is in the shower and wamb! I have time to post. First time in a long time. The last time was like 3 weeks ago.

Anyways, not much happening. Last night Sandy and I went to see Matt and Becky Flegal. We ate supper with them and played whoonu. Then we sat around and talked and played with their baby daughter Madalyn. She was tons of fun.

Then after Matt and Becky's we went to Matt's parents. This was all for the Flegals to meet Sandy. We sat around at the Flegals and talked and played whoonu again. We had a good time with that game. We had supper and Matt's and brownies at the Flegals.

I also finished "The Gordon Story". It was a sequence of videos of me running and doing pushups, pull ups, punching, and finishing it off with running up the steps Rocky Balboa ran up. So I don't know whats next after the farm show. That should be interesting.

I think tomorrow Sandy and I and Sandy's sisters and other friends will be going ice skating. We're trying to still figure out transportation. We only have a so many people with vehicles. So we will see on that one.

Sandy is here now. I guess I can keep going. I don't know what to type. Lets see...I hope the skates are good skates. I hope they're not the cheap kind. Sandy just told me that they give guys ice hockey skates and girls figure skating skates. So that should be good. It sounds up to date. So I should have fun. Sandy will be there.

Anyways, I think its long enough. I will work on this a little better...try. Anyways, heres a fun fact before I leave. I am the champ of bejewled. On the regular version I have about 60,000 points and the time trial I have about 16,000 points.

I like to visit that place a lot. I practically live there sometimes. You should see all of the passes that have been signed to go there. Most likely my name has showed up the most on the passes to Wal-Mart.
